Food System Informatics (Formerly Sustainable Sourcing)

by admin last modified Apr 05, 2018 11:12 AM

We're growing this program and updating the name to reflect those changes.  Stay tuned for updates from the Food Systems Informatics program at ASI, which includes our work on sustainable sourcing of agricultural raw materials.

The Sustainable Sourcing of Agricultural Raw Materials project seeks to promote the long-term sustainability of the global food system from agricultural raw materials sourcing across the supply chain. The project involves a critical review of sustainability issues, best practices and indicators of key dimensions of food system sustainability at various scales. Food companies and other food system stakeholders will be able to use this scientifically-validated information to advance sustainability in agricultural sourcing decisions through tools and information networks being developed by the project team and our many partners.
