SA&FS Internship Program Overview The following is a step-by-step explanation of the SA&FS internship program. Students, Faculty Sponsors and Hosts should familiarize themselves with the expectations for any internship that fulfills the SA&FS requirement.  

Student Responsibilities: 

Prior to the Internship: 
-Identify an Internship Opportunity (Meet with internship coordinator for help)
-Contact a Professor of your choice to request intern sponsorship and complete SAF 092/192 Form
-Submit SAF 092/192 Form to internship coordinator 
-Submit Project Proposal to sponsor, host and internship coordinator

Throughout the internship:
-Keep Time Log of hours and responsibilities throughout the internship and get approval by intern host. 
-Submit Progress Reports 3 times throughout the internship to your faculty sponsor, intern host and internship coordinator (or agree on alternate written work with sponsor) 
-Attend 3 Internship Meetings (summer interns can attend fall meetings) 

At the end of the Internship: 
-Submit final Project Evaluation/Reflective Essay to sponsor and coordinator (or agree on alternate written work with sponsor) 
-Submit signed time log to internship coordinator (coordinator will contact sponsor to comfirm all requirements have been completed)
