Free Produce Pick-up
If you would like to cook a dish for the potluck using Student Farm produce, the farm will be providing free produce, including chilis (sweet and hot), eggplants, tomatoes, and potatoes. Produce will be available for pickup on the following dates:
- Monday, Sept. 8, 12-6pm. Produce will be available at the CSA Lockers/Farmstand, just off Extension Center Drive - look for signs to direct you to the produce pick up as you drive west toward the Student Farm Shop. Look for the small CSA lockers along the gravel road as you drive west on Extension Center Drive, just past the construction fence. (google map)
- If you are a student working on the farm, talk to Jan, Emmanuel, or others at the MG about picking produce for your dish during other any day you are on the farm.
Share Your Recipes
We plan to compile recipes (or rough notes!) to share the Okra Party and Potluck. Please bring your recipe to the event, along with your dish! "Recipes" can be informal, handwritten, downloaded - whatever you want to share - and there is no obligation to share your recipe.
** There is currently construction on Extension Center Drive. Plan to arrive to the Student Farm by driving south on Orchard Park Drive from Russel Blvd or Blue Ridge Rd. You cannot turn onto Extension Center Drive from Hutchison
