Fresh Focus Summer Report 2024

Summer 2024 Highlights

  • Established partnerships with new community organizations across Yolo County, including the Food is Medicine program at Communicare, Woodland Food Closet, and Aggie House
  • Strengthened existing partnerships with Davis Night Market, Yolo Food Bank, Empower Yolo at Knights Landing, and Fruit and Vegie Up
  • Distributed a whopping 8,591 pounds of produce in the span of 12 weeks
  • Hosted and cooked food sovereignty meal for the Student Farm community and visiting Agroecology students
  • Students built a caring, supportive, learning and working environment together, and ended the Summer with new friendships and connections
