Student Farm Shop

The Student Farm Shop houses farm equipment and tools used daily for our numerous programs, andserves as a workspace for maintenance and repair of tractors, implements, tools and equipment. Various small construction and fabrication projects, special workshops, and D-Lab classes and projects also take place in the Shop.

The Student Farm Shop internship, which is offered during winter quarter, provides students with opportunities to work with a staff member to gain practical skills and experience maintaining the tractors and implements used at the farm. Generally, students have prior experience in the Market Garden before starting a shop internship. Specialized shop internships may be possible for students who already possess shop and mechanical skills and experience.
